Anji White Tea, a unique and prestigious tea variety, originates from Anji County in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China.

Origin and Cultivation
Geographical Location: Anji White Tea grows in the mountainous and hilly regions of Anji County, a place renowned for its lush greenery and pristine natural environment. The area's temperate climate, fertile soil, and abundant rainfall create ideal conditions for the cultivation of this tea.
Variety and Cultivation Techniques: Although it is named "white tea," Anji White Tea is actually a variety of green tea. It is a mutant tea plant that produces leaves with a pale green to almost white hue during the early growth stages. Cultivation techniques focus on maintaining the plant's health and vitality, ensuring optimal leaf quality.
Characteristics
Appearance: The leaves of Anji White Tea are delicate and slender, with a pale green to almost translucent appearance. When dried, they retain a light color with subtle silvery-white hairs.
Tea Infusion: When brewed, the tea liquor is a pale yellow-green hue, clear and transparent with a slightly milky appearance. The aroma is fresh and floral, often described as having a sweet scent reminiscent of fresh grass or spring flowers.
Taste: Anji White Tea boasts a mellow and refreshing taste, with a hint of sweetness that balances out its subtle bitterness. The aftertaste is long-lasting and leaves a clean, refreshing sensation in the mouth.
Health Benefits
Antioxidant Properties: Rich in antioxidants such as catechins and tea polyphenols, Anji White Tea helps combat oxidative stress and reduce inflammation in the body.
Weight Management: The caffeine and catechins in the tea can boost metabolism and aid in weight loss by increasing fat oxidation.
Blood Sugar Regulation: Preliminary studies suggest that the compounds in Anji White Tea may help regulate blood sugar levels, making it a suitable choice for individuals with diabetes or insulin resistance.
Mental Clarity and Alertness: The caffeine content in the tea can stimulate the nervous system, promoting alertness and improving concentration.
Brewing Guide
Tea Ware Selection: Ceramic or glass teacups are recommended for brewing Anji White Tea to fully appreciate its color and clarity.
Tea to Water Ratio: A ratio of 1:50 (tea leaves to water) is ideal.
Water Temperature: Water at a temperature of 80-85°C is suitable for brewing. Higher temperatures may scorch the leaves and alter the taste.
Brewing Steps:
Warm the Teacup: Rinse the teacup with hot water before brewing.
Add Tea: Place 3-5 grams of tea leaves into the cup.
Pour Water: Pour in the hot water and let the tea steep for about 30-45 seconds before drinking.
Refill: For subsequent infusions, increase the steeping time slightly to extract more flavor from the leaves.
